Phantasy Star Portable 2 INFINITY Announced

This one came out of freakin' left field.
Phantasy Star Portable 2 INFINITY has been recently been announced/leaked by Famitsu this week. Apparently it is an expansion type game to PSP2, with redesigns for both weapons, race type and the inclusion of a new race of Humans called Du-mans. Du-mans are a new kind of race that were mutated by the SEED monsters, wear eye patches and possess a new Mirage Blast called Infinity Blast, which was part of this mutation by the D-Cells in SEED monsters. This new attack allows the Du-mans to attack with a gigantic laser from there eyes. Pretty awesome as this game is 50% longer than PSP2.

That longsword is just awesome. The girl? Hot, hot, hot! Her name is Nagisa.
Seems like the game is being spearheaded by "Dragon Sakai" again as well. Also to note that your PSP2 save will transfer some items over to PSP2Infinity. In Infinity, the story takes place a few years after the conclusion of the best ending for PSP2.

Old bosses come out of the afterlife looking for your ass again...
New enemies seems to be appearing from the PSO day. Such favorites (read, pain in the asses) include Garanz, Chaos Bringer (with working rifle as always), and Olga Flow. It was seen, or mentioned, that Infinity is suppose to be a PSO rebirth or sort. Dragon Sakai said there was something special planned for the 10th anniversary of PSO. We have to wait and see.

New outfits look like pirate wear. Arrrrr, they be looking mighty!
The new outfits do look amazing. The new races will probably have exclusive clothing much like how PSP2 had gender specific outfits that was only usable for the respective character race. All other races will get a rework as well, so as not to make the other races lower tier or boring to use. Seems like you can import your character and whatever items you had acquired from PSP2 and use them in Infinity.

Phantasy Star Portable 2 INFINITY is set to release this winter. Hopefully, Tokyo Game Show 2010 will have something for PSO2, as SEGA has acquired and purchased a domain for PSO2.jp, though no details are known at this time. INFINITY is Episode 2 of PSP2, since there's talks that the UMD will have the original Story Mode of PSP2 and Story Mode Episode 2.
